Ureaplasma urealyticum had also been described to be associated with a number of diseases in humans, including non-specific urethritis, infertility, chorioamnionitis, stillbirth, premature birth and in the perinatal period, pneumonia, bronchopulmonary dystroplasia as well as meningitis.
