Product Description
The Cytomegalo Virus CMV is commonly carried by the general population (50 to 80 %). CMV infection is important for certain high-risk groups: patients who are immunocompromised e.g. patients with HIV, organ transplant recipients, persons with leukmia, pre-natal and postnatal infants. Therewith CMV is one of the TORCH infections that lead to congenital abnormalities and therefore an early diagnosis of CMV especially for pregnant women and women in the reproductive age is extremely important.
